The Berkey® Light is made from BPA-free food grade high-quality co-polyester, the Berkey Light holds 2.75 Gallons of purified water. This system is designed to be a lightweight lower cost alternative to the Stainless Steel Berkey® systems. The Berkey Light is recommended for small to medium sized families of 2-6 people.
A great feature of the system is the ability to always see how much water is in the upper and lower chambers! The Berkey Light comes with a 6″ base and can be used with 2-4 Black Berkey® Filters.

The Berkey Light requires no water pressure and no electricity and can provide pure drinking water from almost any source, which makes it ideal for outdoor and emergency use. The microfiltration capabilities of the filters outperform our competitors by removing 99.99% of viruses and bacteria — among many other contaminants such as chlorine and lead — without having to add harsh chemicals or wasting any water.
Design
The see-through aspect of the Berkey Light makes it easier to quickly and accurately determine how much water is in the upper and lower chambers. The six-inch elevated base allows you to place a drinking water glass under the spigot without having to place the unit on the edge of the counter. The BPA-free copolyester material is extremely durable, making it dent- and shatter-proof. Water from the Berkey Light is produced at the same quality and quantity as the stainless steel models at a more economical price.
