At Practical Preppers®, we don’t sell leads — we connect you with real, vetted projects. Every project we refer has a design in place and a committed customer lined up.

We partner with installers nationwide, supplying complete solar + storage system packages at installer pricing. Each system is designed with carefully selected, field-tested equipment and backed by the experience of Scott Hunt (Engineer775).

To Qualify, An Installer Must:

Be licensed and insured 

Have at least two years of solar installation experience

Demonstrate a strong reputation for quality installations and customer service

We support installers in two ways:

  • Partner Model – We supply the materials at installer pricing, coordinate logistics, and provide design + technical support. You handle the installation at your labor rate.

  • Customer-Direct Model – We sell the materials directly to the customer. They then hire you for installation at your installation/labor line rate.

Either way, you’re not chasing leads you’re stepping into a project that’s ready to install.

DESIGN & ENGINEERING

We provide system drawings specific to your project. PE stamps and structural calculations are available if required

PROCURE MATERIALS

We source proven equipment — panels, inverters, batteries, racking, and components. Bundled, shipped, and ready for install.

SUPPORT

We back you with guidance, commissioning assistance, and permitting support so paperwork and approvals don’t slow your project down.

REFERRALS

For homeowners outside our service area, we refer projects to qualified local installers in our network — connecting you directly with customers who are ready to move forward.

Practical Preppers® provides system design, engineering, equipment sourcing, and technical support nationwide. Installations must be performed by a licensed contractor in the state where the project is located. We do not perform turnkey installs outside of our local service area.

Every project begins one-on-one to review your goals and specific needs for power, water, heating and cooling, and overall energy use.

Consultations include a site-evaluation using Helioscope, Aurora, Google Earth, and Near Map. 
Consultations result in a virtual solar design, simulated production report of your system, and a complete quote of the materials needed for your project, as well as optional permitting/planset assistance. Shipping logistics will be discussed during the consultation.

Upon scheduling your consultation, please use the provided DropBox link to share copies of your power bill as well as pictures of your meter, electrical panels, and where you plan to install equipment.
